Growing up, Sathyapriya was very close to her father. When he fell ill, she left school to help take care of him while her mother worked. She says that some of her best early childhood memories are with her father. Her father recovered, and today one of her goals is to earn enough money to continue to take care of her parents, and she continues to be very close with her family.
