The abduction of Owilli Doreen’s brother during the war was so traumatic that it left her family unable to continue on in the way that they were accustomed to. Working as a hut leader for KK Uganda has given Doreen the opportunity to provide her family with the finances and hope necessary to rebuild. She hopes to see her youngest siblings through school with the money she earns through the program.
