Margaret, thank you for the work that you do. I was unsure of a knitted beanie cap for the intense northern winters that we endure up here in Northern New York but when i looked inside and found that it was handmade with your name on it, it warmed my heart and i decided that of course it would be more than enough to keep me warm.

I received one of your hats for my birthday, and it is beautiful, soft and warm! I will think of you whenever I wear it! I spent a month in Africa (Tanzania and Rwanda) last summer and discovered firsthand how beautiful it is. I am so sorry for the difficult times you have endured but so glad that you are now in a safe place and providing a life for your children. My daughter Jessica bought me one of the hats you made. It was a Christmas present to me. It's brown (my favorite color because the earth is brown) with a roser on the side. I took my grandson squirrel hunting today and it was so cold! But your hat kept my head warm. It was roomy enough to pull over my ears and keep them warm as well! My daughter took my picture in it, and I will forward it to you when I get a copy of it.

I am sorry, so sorry for the terrible things that have happened to you--you can be proud of the way you have tried to overcome the pain in order to help your family prepare for whatever is ahead.
