Hi Grace!

My baby daughter was given a hat you made as a gift, and today she is big enough to wear it! It will be put to good use in our cold Canadian climate in eastern Newfoundland.

We're so happy to have this for Nellie, so that as she grows we can tell her about who made her hat and the importance of supporting women around the world in pursuing dreams and becoming self sufficient. While the challenges she will face in our culture vary greatly from yours, women around the world face the challenges of a male dominated world and she will need to be strong and independent like you to become all that she can be. Women around the world need to support each other to rise up and be strong and heard.

My husband and I both feel that it is important to teach our daughter about the world and the challenges around the globe. This hat is a starting point to what we hope will be a lifetime of love, strength, awareness, responsibility and being a global citizen.
