I am a college student at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Today I got an email telling me that I had received a package. My package was sent from home which is 8 hours away in Ohio and was from my parents. Inside was a letter, some snacks, and a hat that you made. I was so excited to read about the woman that made this hat that i now get to wear. When I read your story I got all teared up because my parents are working extremely hard to pay for my education, which is also what your dream is. I saw this beautiful black piece with elegant white stripes on it at a little store, and it was perfect. When I gave it to her, she got so happy. I just purchased one of the Agatha hats! I love it! It's lightweight, but yet will keep me warm during the winter. I am from Bismarck, North Dakota and we already have snow on the ground! We will be having much more snow and our winters get very cold.
I am also going to wear this hat on vacation to Seattle, Washington. It's stylish and I cannot wait to show it to my friends in Seattle.

I love the taupe Betty hat that you knitted! Long story, but it was a gift for a friend, and I ended up keeping it. I live in northern California where it does get cold in the winter months.
