Laker Florence,

I found this organization after a mission trip to Uganda last May. We stayed in Entebbe, but we were supposed to travel to Gulu to offer mental health counseling seminars to mental health workers there. We were unable to travel however because it was the inauguration of the president and it was unsafe for Americans to travel the roads through Kampala. My hope is to return to Uganda this coming year, the Ugandan people touched my heart.
I thank you very much for my beautiful hat. Every time I wear it I will be reminded of my memories and friendships that I have made that will last a lifetime.

I bought my first Krochet Kids international hat at a convention for youth in Southern California. My friends were buying random tee-shirts or taking pictures when I walked away from the group to go to the Krochet Kids table. The first day i walked by the table I stopped and learned about KKU, I thought it was such a blessing! I wanted to buy something right then but I wasnt so sure.
