During the war in northern Uganda, Grace was abducted by the rebel army and was not released until three days later. Although she was affected psychologically, Grace was fortunate enough to be able to rise above her fears and attend a university for a period of time. Even though she was unable to graduate due to the high school fees, she hopes that with the money she is saving from the KK Uganda program she can one day return to the university and complete her studies.

DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE
“I want to continue with my studies, get a good job and open up a secondary school.”

WHAT MAKES CROCHETING ENJOYABLE
“Crocheting has helped me to relax my mind from the worrying of my studies. It also is a form of exercise and it reduces boredom.”

MESSAGE TO KK intl.
“A word of appreciation for all they are doing especially to the people in the north. May they continue helping the needy and God will bless them abundantly.”
