Before being rescued by a local organization, Rose was abducted and forced into marriage. She was able to find work as a farmhand, and eventually learned about KK Uganda through some of the other women who had been in captivity with her. With the money she has earned through the program, Rose has been able to provide for her children and send them both to school. She enjoys her new work and looks forward to seeing her children graduate from university someday.
DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE
“I want my children to study up to university level because this is the only way that they can overcome poverty. Since I missed the opportunity for formal education, I will work hard so that my children get this chance.”
FAVORITE THING ABOUT NORTHERN UGANDA
“Northern Uganda is a wonderful place because there are good traditional dances and the people dress decently.”
MESSAGE TO KK intl.
“My message to Krochet Kids is that God should bless them for all that they are doing to help the poor women in Northern Uganda.”
