When war in northern Uganda intensified, family problems started to surface in Betty’s home. Life became more difficult when her family would sleep in the local church because of the fear of the rebels. Fortunately, her and her family members were never abducted, but the lack of a stable home and income caused a lot of financial stress. KK Uganda gave her, the sole family provider, the resources and tools necessary to support her family financially.

I love these shoes and especially love the bright and happy colors of the crocheted patch. Mostly I love that I am wearing a pair of shoes that has work done by you all the way from Uganda!
