Gisela sold vegetables at the market to help provide for her husband and daughter, but grew tired of coming up short week after week and not being able to support her family. She wanted to better her situation, so she began looking for other job opportunities and found KNOWN SUPPLY. Today, Gisela has learned how to knit and sew and now has dreams for a brighter future for herself.

Thank you for making my shoes! The grey VANS moccasins were a present from my boyfriend. He was shopping online for new shoes and I spotted the knitwear. I'm a knitting teacher and own a yarn store in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I used to surf, snowboard and skate and I've always worn VANS. These shoes combined two parts of my life. I loved them instantly. I didn't look twice and only when they arrived I spotted the label and found the KK int. website. It's amazing. It's so close to home and so far away at the same time. I'm truly touched and inspired to do some good with my knitting knowledge as well. In Rotterdam there's a so called organisation that let the elderly knit and sell their knitwear without even paying the nannies. It's all wrong in my opinion. I hope you like or even love your job. Please know that I for one send you good and positive and inspirational thoughts!
