Jayalakshmi is one of five siblings born to dedicated farmers. She grew up helping her parents’ flourishing farm, but as she grew older she wanted to find work of her own. She worked at a spinning mill for seven years before becoming a tailor. Today she enjoys her work as a tailor and lives with her husband and two children.

I like to return to my parent’s farm and visit the cows.
